Inġ Emanuel Darmanin is the Head of Strategy and Business at the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA). He joined MITA in 1994 and since then he has held various senior management positions and has been responsible for the setting up of various diverse functions.
Emanuel graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Malta in 1989. In 2000, he gained an MBA from Henley Management College and in 2006 an MA in Creativity and Innovation from the University of Malta.
Recent initiatives that he worked on include: Drafting of National policies and strategies; securing of EU funding for major ICT projects; various Blockchain-related initiatives and opening of an Emerging Technologies Lab at MITA; innovation programme targeting start-ups; and several Digital Outreach Projects.
